Overnight the site was cleaned up. The crane and trucks gone, excess lumber and other debris along with them. Not even any workmen around this morning. I wondered what would come next..
The entry to the interior was still visible. I noticed there were wooden props underneath the elephant head, so they were still working on that.
The "wings" were the only major pieces waiting to be attached. At the beginning I had wondered why only part of the body was "papered." But as work progressed it was more and more apparent everything was planned in great detail.
The bamboo poles are still a mystery. Thirteen of them, most between 50-60 feet long, freshly cut and still green so not intended for burning I thought. The clues of course were in the picture on the billboard, but I hadn't picked up on that yet.
